Sponsorship
Parents and Grandparents
As a citizen or permanent resident of Canada, you have the right to reunite with family members by becoming their sponsor. Family members you are entitled by law to sponsor are:
- Spouse, common law partner or conjugal partner older than 16 years
- Dependent children and adopted children
- Parents, grandparents and their dependent children
- Brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces or grandchildren who are orphans, under the age of 18, and not married
Any other relative proven that none of the above mentioned categories live in Canada at the time of your application.
Please be aware that one needs to comply to different regulations and meet certain criteria to become a sponsor. Get in touch for a personal evaluation and expert advice.
